January is a big, exciting month for Infinite Crisis that’s filled with changes and new additions to both our game and website. As we approach these changes, we wanted you, our Closed Beta participants, to be fully aware of what’s happening.
First of all, we want you to know that the January Update is currently scheduled for Wednesday, January 29th. If we have to describe this update in two words, then those two words would be Gotham Divided. This update will be your first hands-on with our tri-lane map, and we can’t wait for you to dig into it with all of your testing might! Outside of Gotham Divided, however, January will contain other improvements such as a Friend/Foe coloring option (your team is always blue, enemy team is always red), the option to disable screen shake effects, balance changes, and (get excited!) the option to move artifacts in your inventory slots! (Thank you, UI team!) We can’t wait to tell you everything that’s going into this patch, and you’ll be hearing more about Gotham Divided and the January Update in greater detail in the coming weeks.
Now that you know about our January Update, we’re also happy to tell you that the website is about to get a serious facelift. On January 29th, in sync with the January Update, InfiniteCrisis.com will be going to version 2.0. This new version of the site will contain new forums, a new article layout, and many other improvements.
This website changeover contains one important note for those of you who use our forums regularly.
- Beginning January 22nd, the InfiniteCrisis.com forums will no longer save posts. Any posts made after that date will not appear on the new website on January 29th. Any post made before that date will be saved. If you have important stickies or lists that you make after that date, we recommend you save them and re-post them on the 29th.
Again, thank you everyone for all of the testing that you’ve done so far in our beta, and make sure that you catch our official Infinite Crisis stream on Tuesday, January 21st at 3:00 PM Eastern (-5 GMT) to see which champion is going into the game with the January Update.
