    Hail Protectors, and welcome to the release notes for our January Update!

    System Alerts: High Importance Changes

    Lost Sector, Gotham City^*$(@11))*7... error. Multiverse collision detected.

    Earth-0 and Earth-19 have hit a collision course, and Gotham City is a focal point! Welcome, Protectors, to Gotham Divided, where wood and brass are smashed against concrete and steel. Gotham Divided is the tri-lane map for Infinite Crisis, a city divided by a Bleed rift. Now this Lost Sector has become another training ground for the Construct, giving Protectors a hands-on lesson with what happens during Multiverse collisions.

    Find the Monitor technology scattered in the area, use it to your advantage, and beware of the Raider and Leviathan. Can you, Protector, lead your team to triumph in the middle of this war zone?

    After the update, Gotham Divided will only be accessible by Elite Founders until the morning of January 31st, Eastern time (-5 GMT).

    Recognition Systems Online: Achievements Now Available

    Have you done something EPIC, Protector? Now your epic moments will be saved and noted on your profile via our achievements system!

    This iteration of Achievements is our first test and more achievements will be coming with future updates. So keep an eye on the Achievements section for new and exciting goals that will test your limits!

    Viewer Optimization Process Complete: New UI Options Available

    Want your team to always be blue while your enemies are always red? Want to disable the camera shake that some of the destruction causes? Well, your time has now come!

    Use the options menu, to set your team to always be blue! Choose "Friend/Foe Coloring" on to enable this option.

    To stop your screen from shaking during tense moments select the new option "Disable Screen Shake."

    Artifact Polarities Removed: Drag & Drop Inventory Enabled

    Remember how you always wanted to put that Amulet of Isis on your 1 key instead of that Nil Blade? Or that Neron's Contract on your 2 instead of that Marauder's Shield? You know how you wanted to drag-and-drop those favorite Artifacts on the keys that are actually close to your fingers, instead of on those nasty 5 & 6 keys that you can never quite reach?

    Yeah. You can do that now. Boom.

    General Changes

    • The camera has been moved in closer to the map by 2 clicks. This has the effect of increasing the size of champions and reducing your ability to see the surrounding area. Be vigilant with your map awareness, as it's now more important than ever before!
    • Receiving an Account XP reward now plays a new sound!
    • Fixed an issue where Protectors would see a blank custom match screen after being removed from a custom match.
    • We've fixed the issue where you stop moving the second your targeted enemy moves into the Fog of War.
    • The moment a destructible is detonated/consumed, it will no longer block the fog of war vision and you'll be able to move through it instead of having a short delay.
    • We've taught the launcher to sit and stay. It will no longer keep running away to the left every time you open it.
    • There is now a button that you can use to ignore Protectors in a match. You can find this button on the score board, or on the end-of-match score card.
    • We've improved your Protector stats tab. Enjoy all of the new, tasty stats!
    • The custom match lobby now shows how many Protectors are needed to launch a match (currently 6.)
    • Matchmaking ranks on your profile page will now display correctly after you play a non-ranked match.
    • The protector name in /tell is no longer case sensitive.
    • Draft mode's swapping mechanism should work appropriately now.
    • The chat room will no longer close on you at the end of the match prematurely.
    • You can now type to your team chat while on the all chat tab, instead of being defaulted to all chat. (To type to your team, type normally. To type to everyone in the match, use Shift + Enter or the /all command.)



    Infinite Crisis Store


    • We've gone through and fixed more bugs relating to text display errors in the store.
    • We've fixed various spelling and grammatical errors in the store.



    Artifact Foundry


    • We fixed an issue where Tier 1 artifacts were not all properly showing their price.
    • Lifesteal no longer gets a double bonus from the healing multiplier.
    • We've fixed bugs where Tektite Vial's healing effects and Deadshot's Visor effects weren't turning off after death.
    • Fixed an issue where Steel's Breastplate's "Iron Will" effect would have to be toggled on twice after death to turn on the effect.
    • Players can no longer Blink Jump or Time Anchor with a Car/Meteor in their hands.
    • Fixed an issue where the Mercury's Gift buff was sometimes stacking multiple times.
    • Fixed an issue where Neron's Contract and Ra's Al Ghul's Robe sometimes didn't prevent animations.
    • While in Stasis Field, your health is locked and any type of heal or damage will not affect you.
    • Wounding now has special effects attached to it.
    • The Blood Spirits, Will Packs, and Health Packs now have sound effects. The active keywords Energy Blast, Iron Will, Blink Jump, and Purge also now have sounds.

    • Blood Spirit: The tooltip for Blood Spirit now shows how much you'll slow your target when the spirit hits.
    • Blood Bargain: Characters affected by Blood Bargain’s stasis now freeze in an idle stance for the duration.
    • Charged Attack Power damage increased from 10 + 10% to 10 + 20%.
    • Deadly Mirror: Offers 10% power damage reflection.
    • Devastating: The Devastating keyword now has a tier 2 version, Devastating 2.
    • Disintegration: Damage has been increased from 2% of current health over 3 seconds to 1.5% current health every second for 4 seconds.
    • Disintegration 2: Damage has been increased from 4% of current health over 6 seconds to 2% current health every second for 4 seconds.

    • Lazarus Effect: Healing has been reduced from 30% health and 50% will to 25% health and 30% will. Characters with the Lazarus Effect now play their knock-down animation for the duration of the revival, and stand up when it finishes.
    • Lazarus Effect 2: Healing has been reduced from 50% health and 50% will to 40% health and 50% will.
    • Olympus Aura: Bonuses decreased from 23 Attack and Power Armor to 20 Attack and Power Armor.
    • Razor 1: Attack Penetration increased from 10% to 15%.
    • Shrapnel: Shrapnel now scales through tiers instead of remaining as a flat keyword. Keep an eye out for Shrapnel 1, 2, 3, and 4.
    • Skill Harrier 2: Slow decreased from 30% to 25%.
    • Will Battery: Max Will gain per skill use increased from 4 to 5. Limit increased from 800 max will to 1000.
    • Will Force 1: Power damage equal to % of will has been decreased from 3% to 2%.
    • Will Force 2: Power damage equal to % of will has been decreased from 4.5% to 3%.
    • Wounding: Now renamed to Wounding Attack.
    • New Keyword: Wounding Skill -- Targets of your Skills that are below 50% health are Wounded (healing and regeneration reduced by 50%) for 3 seconds.

    Augments & Mods


    • Augments and Mods are now set to new, more final pricing, instead of their testing discounts. These prices more accurately reflect how much we believe they will cost in the final version.
    • Protectors now get 3 Amplifier Sets for free. There will be ways to purchase additional sets, but that functionality will be implemented at a later date. For now, all Protectors will have 3 custom Amplifier sets.
    • Gaining a Protector Level will now give you the choice of 1 of 3 random Augments or Mods to unlock for your account. Augment picks happen every Protector Level that is not a multiple of 5. Mod picks happen every Protector Level that is a multiple of 5. If you have all of the Amplifiers that could be potentially offered to you, you will receive 100 Merit instead.


    All Maps

    • We've made a few changes to the way turrets fire on all of our maps. Here's the breakdown:
      • In our prior updates, all turrets had a cooldown time of 0.3 seconds and an acquire time (how long it took for the turret to notice you and then shoot you) of 0.5 seconds.
      • When a target was acquired, it would take 0.5 seconds to fire. If the target moved out of range or died, the turret would go through cooldown and then acquire a new target -- this process would take a full 0.8 seconds. During this time, the turret would not fire.
      • In this update, the acquire time has been reduced to 0.3 seconds. The cooldown time between target re-acquisition has been removed.
      • TL;DR -- The turrets on all maps will now acquire and fire upon targets much faster than before. It will be much harder to juggle turret aggression.


    Coast City



    • The base is back to being guarded by one, big, nasty turret instead of two turrets.
    • We've added special effects for the debuff that you receive from fighting the Doomsday Guardian or Raider.
    • Raider's final model is now in the game! He looks a little more menacing than his prior model.
    • The Scrapper and Mauler jungle creatures now have more sound effects.
    • Ambient credit gain on the map has been increased from 3 credits to 4 credits every 2 seconds.
    • Team Credits offered for capturing a Power Relay have been reduced from 100/150/200 to 0/75/150.
    • Turret credits have changed from 300 per turret to 200/250/300/350 + 100 bonus split credits.
    • Players on Coast City will now need more experience to level up than before.
    • If you click on the Raider spawn area on the minimap, your Champion will now move to the Raider spawn rather than the stealth pad above the raider spawn.


    Stolen Powers

    Teleport

    • You will now no longer teleport to a turret if it is destroyed mid-teleport. Your teleport will be interrupted.

    Super Strength

    • We've removed the range targeting FX for Super Strength skills.




    Champions

    • All knockback skills now apply a very short, 0.3 second root at the end of the knockback. This is called out in each Champion's notes, but we wanted to add it here for extra clarity that this change is happening to all knockback skills.
    • We've fixed an issue that would cause keybindings not to work correctly when quickly input in the options menu.
    • The map portraits and icon will now animate smoother when there are many portraits visible, rather than stutter.
    • Fixed a bug where some characters' hit reaction animations would play in the wrong direction.
    • Fixed a bug where some characters’ dance emote sound effects would not loop.
    • Fixed a bug where some Recommended Item lists would occasionally continue to list items that the player already owned.
    • Skill Shields will now block the bonus damage and any effects applied via an empowered Basic Attack (like Atomic Wonder Woman's Smite or Gaslight Joker’s Fetid Cleaver). The basic attack damage will pass through the shield.
    • Non-Will based champions are no longer recommended the Modular Tektite Vial, and instead are recommended the Modular Health Vial.
    • All ranged champion skills now show their radius on the mini-map when mousing over their skill icon.
    • Many characters have new relationship dialog with their friends and rivals!
    • There is now a very brief, 0.02s window where it is impossible to cancel your basic attack, and instead queues the move command on the server. This allows for highly skilled players to more efficiently resume movement when their basic attack completes, and reduces the odds of accidentally cancelling your basic attack a few milliseconds too early.
    • Character Base Attack Speeds have changed:
      • The Attack Speed most characters gain each level is now considered bonus Attack Speed, instead of base Attack Speed. This means that these bonuses are no longer multiplied by Attack Speed buffs or Artifacts.
      • As a result, the base Attack Speed and Attack Speed per level has been tweaked on all characters.

    • The utility and crowd control for many Support characters and skills now scale off of the Bonus Will stat, and had their numbers changed as a result. Specifics are in the notes below.
    • Champion abilities will now reveal you from stealth pads based on the following guidelines:
      • Unit targeted skills and radial attacks (ex. Green Lantern's Slam/Atomic WW's Savage Sweep) that deal damage to champions will reveal you briefly.
      • Skill shots (ex. Zatanna's Skewer/GasBat's Sonic Batarang) will not reveal you except for skills that are tethered (ex. Wonder Woman's Lasso Grab).
      • Skills that do not deal damage and damage over time effects will not reveal you.

    • Our out of match Champion Level Cap has been raised to 20. Unique Stolen Powers are still unlocked after the same amount of XP has been acquired, but that XP will now get you to Level 5 (it would get you to 4 previously).
      • Additional rewards for leveling Champions are planned for future Updates.

    • Your Ultimate Skill will now always be recommended over all other skills if you have a point you can spend in it.


    Specific Champion Changes

    Arcane Green Lantern
    • Arcane Green Lantern’s Psychic Assault tooltip no longer rounds “0.8” to “1”.

    Emerald Light
    • Heal changed from 20/30/40/50 to 20/35/50/65.
    • Heal Ratio changed from Bonus Health to Bonus Will.
    • Tooltip now displays the duration of the effect.
    • The targeting indicators when mousing over the skill icon now displays the range of the aura.

    Emerald Lantern
    • The cooldown reduction when Arcane Green Lantern picks up the lantern is reduced from 6s to 4s.

    Construct Champion
    • Knock-up Duration Reduced from 1s to .5/.6/.7/.8
    • Knock-up Duration Bonus Will Ratio of .04% Added

    Shackles
    • Root Duration Reduced from .75/1/1.25/1.5 to .5/.75/1/1.25
    • Root Duration Bonus Will Ratio of .05% Added

    Deny The Black
    • Shield Ratio changed from Bonus Health to Bonus Will


    Atomic Green Lantern

    Radiation Sickness
    • Melee attacks no longer deal bonus Power Damage, but still apply stacks of the mark.
    • Cooldown reduced from 8/7/6/5 to 4s.
    • Damage changed from 60/90/120/150 +12% Bonus Health to 40/80/120/160 +10% Bonus Health and 30% Power Damage.

    Meltdown
    • Damage reduced from 40/65/90/115 +20% to 30/50/70/90 +10%.
    • Meltdown's missile will no longer disappear if it travels over a wall in pursuit of a target.


    Atomic Poison Ivy
    • Her “Nightbloom” costume is now correctly named.

    Poisoned Earth
    • Damage increased from 30/50/70/90 to 50/65/80/95.
    • Toxic Growth bonus damage reduced from 100% to 50%.

    Bramble Rapture
    • To give more counter-play to this skill, it now fires a homing missile at the target instead of being instantly applied. This gives the target an opportunity to react to the cast.
    • Damage increased from 40/70/100/130 to 50/100/150/200.
    • Power Damage ratio reduced from .75 to .4.

    Wall of Thorns
    • DoT Power Damage scaling reduced from .75 to .5.
    • Wall duration reduced from 4s to 3s.
    • DoT duration reduced from 5s to 3s.
    • Decaying Slow reduced from 35/50/65/85 to 40/50/60/70.
    • Decaying Slow duration reduced from 5s to 3s.


    Atomic Wonder Woman
    • Atomic Wonder Woman’s “Smite” tooltip now properly states that it resets her Basic Attack cooldown.
    • Atomic Wonder Woman's vitals will now no longer randomly animate when she has 0 revs.

    Vault
    • Attack Damage ratio reduced from 50% to 35%.

    Smite
    • Attack Damage ratio increased from 40% to 45%.
    • Bonus damage when Revved increased from 40/75/120/155 + 65% to 60/100/140/180 + 70%.


    Batman
    • Power Armor increased from 25 +.2/lvl to 30 +.4/lvl
    • Batman's "Arkham City" costume now has the correct name.

    Watching, Waiting
    • No longer provides the bonus armor when out of stealth

    Batarang
    • Damage reduced from 50/85/120/155 +60% to 50/90/130/170 +50%
    • Slow changed from 30/35/40/45 to 20/30/40/50

    Martial Arts
    • No longer Stuns the target
    • Damage reduced from 65/110/155/200 +80% to 65/105/145/185 +70%
    • Cooldown increased from 10/8.5/7/5.5 to 10/9/8/7

    Cape Sweep
    • Batman’s Cape Sweep skill is now more responsive.

    Dark Knight

    • Batman's Dark Knight will no longer reveal surveillance cameras or stealthed characters within the cloud.


    Cyborg
    • Base Health changed from 446 + 72.6/level to 445 + 71.8/level.
    • Base attack speed reduced from 0.68 to 0.675

    Cybernetic Targeting
    • The damage from Cybernetic Targeting is now displayed in the kill card.
    • Cybernetic Targeting now deals Power Damage, instead of Attack Damage.

    Tracer Shot
    • Tracer Shot now plays a visual hit effect on the targets when they are hit.
    • Tracer Shot damage reduced from 50/85/120/155 to 40/75/110/145.

    Plasma Cannon
    • Fixed an issue that caused his legs to blip when returning to the idle animation at the end of the skill.


    Catwoman
    • Catwoman’s dance emote now has sound.
    • Catwoman’s "Oh, this? It's mine” fidget dialog will now play less often.

    Whip Strike
    • Damage increased from 50/70/90/110 to 55/75/95/115

    Cat's Paw
    • Cost reduced from 65/90/115/140 to 55/65/75/85

    Acrobat
    • Cost reduced from 20/25/30/35 to 15/20/25/30
    • Cooldown reduced from 6s to 5s
    • Damage dealt by Catwoman's Savage Acrobat skill is now properly attributed to Savage Acrobat on the killcard instead of Acrobat.

    Cat Burglar
    • Coin value increased from 4/6/8/10 to 5/10/15/20


    Doomsday

    • Fixed a bug where Doomsday was listed as a Gaslight Character.

    Berserk
    • Now grants 10% Movement Speed when activated, and that bonus is now doubled when Kryptonian Rage is active.

    Pummeling Assault
    • Range has increased from 175 to 225


    Flash

    • We've fixed a hitch in Flash's run animation. He'll run smoothly now!

    Speed Force
    • Power damage ratio increased from 10/20/30/40 to 12/24/36/48

    Flash Attack
    • Flash Attack’s targeting indicator is now more accurate.
    • Damage changed from 50/90/130/170 +65% to 60/95/130/165 +70%
    • Cost increased from 30/40/50/60 to 40/50/60/70
    • Cooldown increased from 8 to 9
    • Range decreased from 700 to 650

    Hyper Vibration
    • Slow reduced from 20/25/35/40 to 20% which now decays over time
    • Cooldown reduced from 18 to 14/13/12/11
    • Cost reduced from 65/80/95/110 to 50/55/60/65


    Gaslight Batman
    • Fixed a bug where Bat Flight was dealing Attack Damage. It now correctly deals Power Damage.
    • Bat Flight will now properly give Gaslight Batman a stack of reverb against enemies hit.


    Gaslight Catwoman
    • Fixed an issue where Steampowered Claws could, in rare cases, pass through targets with no effect.

    Shred
    • The bonus damage based on the enemy's health has been changed from 7% to 4/5/6/7%.


    Gaslight Joker
    • Gaslight Joker's "Sinister Santa" costume now has the correct name.
    • Base Health Regen reduced from 1.5(+.13lvl) to 1(+.05lvl).

    Blood Money
    • Duration of the heal over time changed from 6 seconds to 8 seconds.

    Fetid Cleaver
    • Damage Ratio changed from Bonus Health to 50% Bonus Power Damage.

    Snack time
    • Base Move Speed Bonus of 10% added while shield is active.
    • Health Cost is now displayed in world when the skill is activated.

    Ham Toss
    • Cost Reduced from 30/50/70/90 to 30/40/50/60.
    • Health Cost is now displayed in world when the skill is activated.
    • Missile Speed increased from 1250 to 1400.
    • Power Damage Ratio changed from .7 to .45.

    Rat Swarm
    • Fixed a bug that was causing the Cost Reduction to only kick in when two enemy champions were present.
    • Fixed an issue where the Rat Swarm visuals sometimes appeared to lag behind Gaslight Joker when he toggled them on.
    • Health Cost is now displayed in world when the skill is active.
    • Base Slow Reduced from 20% to 15%.
    • Power Damage Ratio Reduced from .25 to .2.
    • Base Damage Reduced from 40/60/80/100 to 30/50/70/90.


    Green Lantern

    Slam

    • Slam damage against a target without the Missile barrage mark reduced from 50/90/130/170 + 70% Power to 40/75/110/145 + 60% Power.
    • Slam bonus damage per stack of the Missile Barrage mark increased from 10/20/30/40 + 15% Power to 15/30/45/60 + 20% Power.

    Missile Barrage

    • The "Shattered Will" mark has been renamed to "Missile Barrage" for clarity.
    • The Missile Barrage mark no longer reduces the target's Power Armor.



    Harley Quinn

    • Fixed a bug that caused the props from Harley Quinn’s fidgets to persist longer than they should.
    • Fixed a bug that was causing Harley Quinn’s Basic Attack animations to play too slowly.

    BFFs
    • Move Speed Bonus Reduced from 6/9/12/15% to 5/7.5/10/12.5%
    • Move Speed Bonus Will Ratio of 1% per 333 Bonus Will
    • Attack Speed Bonus Changed from 5/10/15/20% 10/12.5/15/17.5%

    • Fixed an issue that sometimes caused the visual effects for Vanish to play even if the skill failed or was interrupted.


    Mecha Wonder Woman
    • Shade’s Cane has replaced Velocity 9 Implants in Mecha Wonder Woman's Core Recommended Artifacts.
    • Fixed a bug that was causing Mecha Wonder Woman’s Basic Attack animations to play too slowly.
    • Fixed a bug where the trail from Afterburner would disappear if she dashed into a stealth pad.
    • Glaive Storm will now properly hit enemies close to Mecha Wonder Woman, even if they are all up in her grill.


    Poison Ivy

    Healthy Glow
    • Healthy Glow Bonus Will Ratio reduced from 5% to 4%

    Root Strike
    • Knock-up Duration Reduced from 1.5s to .75/.85/.95/1.05
    • Knock-up Duration Bonus Will Ratio of .03% Added

    Blow Kiss
    • Blind Duration Reduced from 2 to .75/1/1.25/1.5
    • Blind Duration Bonus Will Ratio of .04% Added

    Thorn Shield
    • Slow Duration Reduced from 2 to 1/1.25/1.5/1.75
    • Slow Duration Bonus Will Ratio of .04% Added

    Deadly Flora
    • Slow Reduced from 25 to 15/17/19/21
    • Slow Bonus Will Ratio of .004% added (1% for every 250 Bonus Will)


    Robin
    • Fixed some VFX in Robin’s dance emote that were not always playing.

    • Damage Bonus Scaling changed to Bonus Will with a 6% Ratio

    Vault Kick
    • Vault Kick’s targeting indicator is now more accurate.
    • Now applies a 0.3s root at the end of the knock-back.

    Bo Master
    • Slow Reduced from 12/15/18/21 to 7.5/10/12.5/15.
    • Slow Bonus Will Ratio of .003% added (1% for every 333 Bonus Will).

    Dynamic Duo
    • Duration Reduced from 8s to 4/5/6/7.
    • Duration Bonus Will Ratio of .1% Added.

    Emergent Leader
    • Bonus Damage changed from 16/24/32/40 to 12/18/24/30.
    • Bonus Damage Bonus Will Ratio of 1% Added.
    • Now applies a 0.3s root at the end of the knock-back.


    Shazam
    • Move Speed reduced from 385 to 380.
    • Shazam will now always be knocked back by Robin's Emergent Leader if he's hit by the skill's damage. This includes traveling during Speed of Mercury.

    Power of Zeus
    • Health to Power ratio reduced from 1.4/2/2.6/3.2 to 1.2/1.7/2.2/2.7.
    • Power to Health Ratio reduced from .5/.75/1/1.25 to .3/.5/.7/.9.

    Speed of Mercury
    • Damage ratio reduced from 70% to 50%.

    Mystic Power/Defense
    • The visual effects from Mystic Power and Mystic Defense now properly turn off while Shazam is using his ultimate skill, and when he dies.
    • Mystic Power - Damage reduced from 35/65/95/125 +50% to 30/55/80/105 +35%.
    • Mystic Defense - Shield reduced from 50/80/110/140 to 40/70/100/130.
    • Cooldown reduced from 5 to 4.

    Lightning Field
    • Damage reduced from 20/40/60/80 +25% to 20/35/50/65 +20%.
    • Cooldown reduced from 6 to 5.

    SHAZAM!
    • Damage ratio reduced from 100% to 80%
    • “SHAZAM!” no longer applies a slow.


    Wonder Woman
    • Wonder Wonder's "Greek Goddess of War" costume now has the correct name.
    • The damage from Amazonian Prowess is now displayed in the kill card.
    • We fixed an issue where Wonder Woman would get stuck in her dashing pose.


    Zatanna
    • Zatanna’s joke and dance emotes now have sound effects.
    • Addressed an issue that was causing cars to shake in Zatanna's hands when she stopped moving.

    Skewer
    • The visuals, sounds, and damage from Zatanna’s Skewer have been tweaked so that they line up more precisely.

    Dash/Dazzle
    • Duration Reduced from 4 to 2/2.5/3/3.5.
    • Duration Bonus Will Ratio of .07% Added.

    Be A Rabbit
    • Armor Rend changed from 50% to 10/15/20/25%.
    • Armor Rend Bonus Will Ratio of .01% Added.
    • If you're bunnied by Zatanna while on the move, you'll immediately resume your movement as soon as possible.

    Calling out three new notes that IC_Tens just tossed over. They are in the notes above, but here they are:

    Gaining a Protector Level will now give you the choice of 1 of 3 random Augments or Mods to unlock for your account. Augment picks happen every Protector Level that is not a multiple of 5. Mod picks happen every Protector Level that is a multiple of 5. If you have all of the Amplifiers that could be potentially offered to you, you will receive 100 Merit instead.

    Our out of match Champion Level Cap has been raised to 20. Unique Stolen Powers are still unlocked after the same amount of XP has been acquired, but that XP will now get you to Level 5 (it would get you to 4 previously).

    Additional rewards for leveling Champions are planned for future Updates.

    Your Ultimate Skill will now always be recommended over all other skills if you have a point you can spend in it.
